FAQs
Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions about our association, our services
services and memberships.
Who can become a member?
In principle, anyone can support our work as a sustaining member; active membership requires a minimum age of 21 and the passing of our selection process.
What are the benefits of membership?
Depending on the type of membership, there are more benefits but also obligations. We distinguish between supporting members, active supporters and full members.
What are the differences between the individual memberships?
A supporting membership is the perfect option if you want to support our mission without having to actively participate in the association yourself.
Active Supporters, on the other hand, actively contribute their know-how and skills to the club and are accepted as full members after a 12-month trial period and subsequent assessment by the board. In addition, they can already take part in all MRC training sessions and meetings free of charge.
In contrast to active supporters, full members are also entitled to vote in accordance with the statutes.
How high are the contributions?
The one-off admission fee is €69 and the membership fee is €100 per year. It can also be paid half-yearly or quarterly.
Where do the members come from?
Our members are spread all over Germany and beyond, but often meet centrally in Germany to train together.
From which countries are medical evacuations carried out?
The aim of the MRC is to operate worldwide and ensure medical evacuations from every region of the world. We strive to achieve this goal as quickly as possible, but there are some countries and regions where evacuation is not possible for logistical or regulatory reasons. If you are unsure whether your target region is included, please contact us using this form and we will get back to you as soon as possible!
How many people can be evacuated at once?
The number of people to be evacuated depends on the degree of injury and the assistance required for each individual person.
In principle, we currently have one fully equipped ambulance and one fully equipped ambulance. Both vehicles each have a treatment area for a lying and a sitting patient.
How quickly can an evacuation be carried out?
The preparation time depends on the number of people to be cared for, the distance to the scene and other factors. Our vehicles are usually ready for immediate deployment and our ETF (Emergency Task Force) can start the mission immediately after a briefing on the situation and mission planning.
